ASUS Eee PC 1005PE 10.1-Inch Netbook (14 Hours Battery Life, 250GB Hard Drive, Intel Atom N450
The ASUS Eee PC 1005PE is latest Eee PC family netbook model from asus. Looking at its new set of specs, this new model is setting a new benchmark for other netbook models for this year. For one, it now comes with the new 1.66Ghz Intel Atom N450 processor. 1GB of DDR2 memry and now has a larger 250GB disk space. Another jaw-dropping feature on this new netbook model is its 6 cell battery life. This little netbook can last up to 14 hours on one charge. This means that you can easily work the whole day on this little machine without plugging it in.
Design: The ASUS Eee PC 1005PE 10.1-inch netbook retains the sleek seashell design found on its predecessors. This model measures at about 10.31 x 7.01 x 1.3 inches and weighs just 2.8 pounds with the battery. It comes in black, blue and white. Full sizeed keyboard and feels very comfortable (the full-sized shift key really helps). All in all, this model is one sleek looking netbook.

This is a good balance between power and battery life in my opinion. This netbook seems to last about 8-10 hours with moderate cpu load under ubuntu. In windows 7 starter I was seeing about the same battery time. It is never going to replace my main home or work computers. However, when traveling, it is perfect for checking email and doing some light remote administration for work.
