I know of the select hp and asus netbooks can have a life of 9.5 hours and a Samsung model that has 11 hours.

Hi, I recently got my first job and I was planning on purchasing a laptop with the money I save up. A few family members suggested buying a netbook instead. Would this be a good idea? All I'll really be doing is going on the internet. Do netbooks have fast internet connections and will there be things I can't do on a netbook that I could on a laptop?
