NetBook 2010

I know of the select hp and asus netbooks can have a life of 9.5 hours and a Samsung model that has 11 hours.
What other netbooks have a battery life of over 8 hours.

Hi, I recently got my first job and I was planning on purchasing a laptop with the money I save up. A few family members suggested buying a netbook instead. Would this be a good idea? All I’ll really be doing is going on the internet. Do netbooks have fast internet connections and will there be things I can’t do on a netbook that I could on a laptop? Sorry about all the questions, I’m just curious. Thanks for any help!

So if I just got a netbook that has no dvd player how on Earth can I install Microsoft Office if I have the copy in a dvd???? Is there any way I can se it without having to buy it again????

I am thinking about buying a Acer Netbook but im not intirely sure what programmes run on there.
All i really need to use is the internet, itunes and Msn live.
Will Netbook run all of these programmes ?

My mother isn’t very computer-savvy, but I would like to get her a netbook (small notebook) of her own so that she can surf the web and check her email. She doesn’t need a lot of memory, or many bells and whistles. I’ve looked at the Asus Eee series, but my concern is that she wouldn’t feel comfortable using Linux. Any recommendations?
