"I ordered this with the Toshiba netbook which is generally described as being a very good netbook. When I found that the sound was very poor, I returned the netbook and had no need for the "Soft Sleeve." If I had kept the netbook I would certainly have kept this cover. It was inexpensive and served it's purpose well."

I bought this for my wife when I bought her the Toshiba netbook. She loved the case until it started literally coming apart at the seams. She is very easy on anything she uses so it was not because of heavy usage or not being careful. I guess you really get what you pay for. Do not buy this product if you want it to last more that a few months.

"For the price, This is a great way to add a layer of protection for your laptop. There's no snaps, zippers, or buckles to scratch your laptop. With that said, it's not really suited to travel with by itself. There's no pockets for cords or batteries, and no way to really secure the laptop inside the sleeve. I purchased a laptop bag Caselogic SNBP-17 17-Inch Canvas Lifestyle Backpack (Green), and the laptop compartment did not cover and protect my laptop to my preference. The sleeve really does a great job at keeping your laptop safe from potential scratches and dings while traveling. It's an amazing buy for what I need it for. FYI, I bought this sleeve for a Dell XPS Studio 16(Dimensions: 1.34" x 15.15" x 10.02" with 6-cell battery (H x W x D)). It is a comfy fit width-wise, and a REALLY snug fit length wise. This is not the first laptop sleeve I've purchased for my lappy, but it's been the closest fit thus far. Highly recommended!

The price is right but the sleeve gives off a strong odor. When I first got it it was strong but has slightly died down. If you don't mind the smell it's a great sleeve.

Unbelievable it fit just perfect in my 17 Hp notebook; The material looks very durable and feel that can resist drops and little hits. Is not the best sleeve but for me is the best sleeve per dollar. In resume very happy with the product. IMPOTANT the color inside the sleeve is red, for me no problem but is a important detail for future buyers
Not good for Toshiba Qosmio - Kaio - Santa Monica, CA
I really wanted a laptop sleeve without zippers because I've heard they can inadvertently cause scratches. This sleeve seemed like the perfect solution, unfortunately, it doesn't fit my Qosmio. The material is plenty stretchy, but the zipperless sleeve stays open with a huge gap, exposing at least 3 - 4 inches of my laptop, which pretty much defeats the purpose. Aside from that, it did have a strong rubbery smell to it, though I imagine that would dissipate over time. I returned it for a refund. Looks like I'll be getting a sleeve with a zipper after all.

Acer and Toshiba are working on small notebooks using Qualcomm’s instant-on solution, Snapdragon. Actually, according to Manjitt Gill (the interviewee) it is more like always on.
"Mobile Computing Devices (MCDs) offer a revolution in computing and communications in a thin and light form factor with a 7-12” display and full keyboard. MCDs are perfect for viewing movies and maps, or editing spreadsheets and documents while also having access to full Internet browsing and social networking. Dual-mode MCDs allow for notebook and tablet/reading mode to further improve the user experience."
"Our vision is that (the device is) always connected. Even when you shut it down, it's still 'on.' (The laptop) goes to your Exchange server, gets your e-mail, puts it on the drive--solid-state or hard drive--and then when you're ready to do e-mail, you flip it open and it's right there. Instant on, always connected,"
There is some more interesting info in the interview, including how Qualcomm sees the differentiation between what it calls Mobile Computing Devices (MCD) and the already established Netbook. Intel is also revealing some details about how it has ramped up the ARM processor to compete.
So full day, always on and very mobile.. but it's ARM based, Linux only. Could they really compete with Intel on more computer than phone like devices, netbooks?
It would need a lot of co-operation between them, Linux vendors and OEMs. Intel has been building their Linux only MID community for 2 years and all we have seen is very basic and not even nearly finished software. Hardware can enable, but to bring ARM based Linux netbook even near to current ones will need work.. maybe too much work?
Qualcomm seems to believe highly themselves as they are now naming Acer, Asus and Toshiba as their future Snapdragon customers:
"Companies including Acer, Asus, and Toshiba are planning devices based on Snapdragon, according to Qualcomm. Acer, for example, will initially introduce Qualcomm's Gobi 3G modem into its devices, then gravitate to products based on Snapdragon."
We will see it soon hopefully..
